Make a character you can learn with
Start by choosing the role you want to play. Radex Tips recommends Warrior’s straightforward attacks for a first character. Use our Warrior, Bard and Mage comparison if you are weighing direct attacks against support or magic.
Race and talent are separate from the base class choice. Radex’s beginner guide recommends Nightborne for its healing-related effect; treat that as the creator’s preference rather than a requirement to start playing. You do not need to wait for a perfect roll to learn the game.
Read the effects actually shown for your character before spending another spin. Set yourself a resource limit, and avoid building a plan around a third-party probability that has not been verified. This guide does not present a full race or talent tier list.
Use Normal to learn the combat rhythm
After character creation, the creator guide recommends a Normal run, either solo or with others. Focus on your attacks, dodging and enemy patterns before moving to harder areas.
When a fight feels difficult, separate the problem into two questions: are you missing defensive timing, or is your current equipment no longer helping? Practicing the first and improving the second are different jobs. This is planning advice, not a hidden game formula.
Know what the town can do for you
| Place | What to use it for | When it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Inn | Storing items, materials and gold | Between runs, when organizing what to keep |
| Blacksmith | Upgrading equipment | After finding a piece you intend to use |
| Ranch | Managing pets | When you have companions to use |
| Guild hall | Guild activities | When you want to progress with a group |
| Auction house | Player trading for gear, pets and items | When comparing alternatives to random drops |
The original creator guide covers these services from 2:15 onward. Prices and availability can change, so this reference describes their purpose rather than promising a particular item or price.
Improve what you will actually use
Replace weaker gear as you progress. Radex warns that equipment upgrades are not guaranteed, and recommends saving valuable materials for items you intend to keep. We do not turn unverified success rates into an upgrade calculator.
Pets can help in combat through different kinds of abilities, according to the same guide. Think about what your character is missing before chasing a rarity label: support, recovery and damage solve different problems.
Once your current kit feels comfortable, follow the path to Super class. Learn the starting class first; a sensible upgrade choice depends on understanding the role you are already playing.

Common early decisions to slow down for
Rushing difficulty before learning attacks
Radex recommends learning on Normal. If a fight is going badly, first identify whether you are missing defensive timing. A rarer item is not a substitute for recognizing an enemy’s pattern.
Spending every upgrade material immediately
Keep a useful replacement, then decide whether you intend to keep using it. The creator cautions that Blacksmith attempts can fail. Our gear upgrade checklist explains what to inspect before spending.
Ignoring what a companion actually does
Pets can contribute different abilities, according to the walkthrough. Inspect the effect rather than choosing solely by appearance or rarity. Read the pet role comparison to connect a companion’s ability to your needs.
Going back into a run without a plan
The town services directory connects storage, upgrades, pets and guild activities to the places that handle them. Organize what you found before choosing the next task.
